MALLIE McCLENDON GRACE

KENTWOOD - Mallie McClendon Grace, 75, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at Hammond

Nursing Home.

A homemaker, she was a native of Washington Parish and lived in Kentwood.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert Grace of Kentwood; three daughters, Fay Boyd of

Franklinton, Annette Hutchinson of Kentwood and Jeanette Fitzmorris of Folsom; a sister, Lillie

Bateman of Franklinton; a brother, Denman McClendon of Mt. Herman; 9 grandchildren, 16 great

grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Valentine McClendon; a sister, Albenia Miller,

and two brothers, Herman and Arlie McClendon.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, tonight from 6

until 9 and Monday from 8 a.m. until the funeral at 2 p.m. The Rev. Richard Magee and the Rev.

Matthew Pearson will conduct the service. Burial will be in Wilmer Cemetery.

GRACE, MALLIE MCCLENDON

A resident of Kentwood, she died at 7 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at

Hammond Nursing Home in Hammond. She was 75 and a native of Washington

Parish. Visiting at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Sunday. Visiting at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until religious services

at 2 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Richard Magee and the Rev. Matthew

Pearson. Interment in Wilmer Cemetery, Wilmer. Survived by her husband,

Herbert Grace of Kentwood; three daughters, Faye Boyd of Franklinton,

Annette Hutchinson of Kentwood and Jeanette Fitzmorris of Folsom; nine

grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillie Bateman of

FRANKLINTON — Edward E. ‘John' McClendon, 84, a resident of Franklinton, died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and served as a member of the crew on the USS Southerland. He was also a member of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Archie and Debbie McClendon of Mt. Hermon, Eugene and Marie McClendon of Thomas and Johnny McClendon, also of Thomas; four daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and James Morris of Franklinton, Geraldine and Niel Ladet of Thomas, Ruby and Harry Darcey of Independence and Jackie and Gene Stone of Picayune, MS; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ellen Browning of Baton Rouge and Lenora Frazier of Kentwood.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael McClendon and Ronnie Bateman; his parents, Edward and Serine McClendon; a brother, Ramsey McClendon; and a sister, Louise Varnado.

Visitation will held at Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton Friday from 5-10 p.m. and yesterday from 10 a.m. until the chapel funeral service at 3 p.m. The Revs. Gary Sumrall, Jerry Cox and Aaron Cox conducted the service and burial followed in the Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church Cemetery.

She was 75 and a native of Washington Parish. Visiting at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Richard Magee and the Rev. Matthew Pearson. Interment in Wilmer Cemetery, Wilmer. Survived by her husband, Herbert Grace of Kentwood; three daughters, Faye Boyd of Franklinton, Annette Hutchinson of Kentwood and Jeanette Fitzmorris of Folsom; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillie Bateman of Franklinton; a brother, Denman McClendon of Mount Hermon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Valentine McClendon; a sister, Albenia Miller; and two brothers, Herman McClendon and Arlie McClendon. .
