Joseph P. McCLENDON (March 9, 1857 - June 22, 1933) was born in Mt. Hermon, Louisiana and died in Washington Parish, Louisiana. See Joseph P. McClendon's Certificate of Death which was scan from Artena Faye MCCLENDON's photocopy of the original. E-mail her: afm48@sbcglobal.net.

Joseph P. McCLENDON married Julie Ann LOTT (November 29, 1859 - July 24, 1932 or 1933).

Julia Ann LOTT was the daughter of John LOTT (October 23, 1831 - November 15, 1871), and Margarette C. "Grace" POUNDS (April 04, 1838 - October 30, 1921). John LOTT and Margarette C. "Grace" POUNDS were married on October 11, 1855 and they had 10 children, including Julie Ann LOTT.

Joseph P. McCLENDON and Julie Ann LOTT had five children:

Leoter McCLENDON (September 20, 1883 - November 27, 1948) married Richard COWART and they had at least one child: Robert COWART.
Chester Eugene McCLENDON (March 25, 1886 - March 14, 1945) married Martha Elizabeth GLOVER (September 11, 1892 - May 21, 1972) and they had at least one child: J. P. McCLENDON (private) who married Dorothy Jean WALLEY (September 11, 1892 - May 21, 1972); They are Donna Jean McCLENDON McGuyer's parents.
Henry Monroe McCLENDON (January 31, 1888 - April 26, 1970) He was born in Mississippi and died in Jackson, East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana.

He married Ada EZELL (September 03, 1890 - August 08, 1968) and they had seven children:

a. Margaret McCLENDON (? - ?)
b. Mildred McCLENDON (? - ?)
c. R.C.Mac McCLENDON (April 22, 1912 - April 14, 1986)
d. Bascom D. McCLENDON (October 24, 1916 - November 30, 1979)

g. Charles McCLENDON (April 13, 1932 - May 10, 1969)

Later, he married Jessie Era FORTENBERRY Magee on February 16, 1963.
John Edward McCLENDON (March 09, 1891 - July 09, 1950), see his obituary, below, married Mabel GRAVES (January 07, 1907 - July 29, 1930). John Edward McCLENDON and Mabel GRAVES were my grandparents. They had two children:

a. Eddie Mae McCLENDON (private) and
b. my father, John Eugene McClendon, Sr. (private). He married Geraldine HATHORNE, my Mother. (See my mother's web page for a photo and more information about her.)

After Mabel GRAVES McClendon died, John Edward McCLENDON married Artena COOPER (September 05, 1896 - August 03, 1924). She was born in Isabel, Louisiana and died in Bogalusa, Washington Parish, Louisiana.

Minnie Belle McCLENDON (April 29, 1893 - February 20, 1958) married James Warren MIZELL (February 23, 1890 - May 23, 1968). They had at least two children:
